Student Awardees & Graduates
For the 2020-21 School Year

In June of 2021 the CMC Staff and Board hosted an online honors and awards event, featuring graduates of CMC, and including a virtual concert by CMC’s Suzuki group class students (both violin and cello!). Thanks to the students and parents, and accompanist Miyuki Sakiyama, for creating over one hundred individual videos that were stitched together into a 19-minute video performance.

Graduates:

Vivian Martin studied cello with Hannah Hillebrand, and graduated with honors and on the President’s List from PCC Gateway to College

Sonnet Mungyeh was a violin student with Alexis Mahler and in the CMC orchestra and chamber music programs, graduated from Rex Putnam High School with IB Diploma Candidate, 5 varsity letters in the arts, and as a National Honor Society Member, going on to study Biochemistry and Music in college.

Hyrum Yeates was a violin student of Anthony Dyer from 2014, in addition to CMC orchestra chamber music, and theory/skills/composition, composed a piece performed by the Metropolitan Youth Symphony Vivaldi Strings, graduated from Cleveland High School, and went on to major in Music Composition and Pre-Med at Brigham Young University & School of Music.

Wendoly Zamora was at CMC since 2010 with instructors Karen Hilley and Alexis Mahler on violin and Ellen Godula on piano, and Tracey Edson in choir, graduated from Rex Putnam High School and went on to the University of Portland School of Nursing.
