CMC in the Parks

Drop in for free and fun lessons and jamming in Lincoln Park!  Starts July 13 and runs through August 26.

• Mini Music Lessons*: Wednesdays and Fridays 11 am - 2 pm
• Drum Jam* Fridays 2 pm - 4 pm 
• Guitar & Ukulele gatherings Fridays at 4 pm

Bring your instrument and chair, or use ours!  * These activities for beginners - no experience necessary. Note: check our website for updates on drop-in schedule.

More Music in the Parks

PP&R announces the return of  Summer Free for All  -  free and fun music, movies, and more, plus free lunch and play programs. CMC instructors will be in the Parks giving free mini music lessons. www.portland.gov/parks/sffa

Esperanza Spalding

CMC Alum and Grammy Award Winner headlines the new East Portland Summer Arts Festival July 10. Her performance is sponsored by the non-profit CMC Inc.

CMC Thrift Sale

We'll be selling sheet music, CDs, used instruments and more at CMC on Saturday, August 6.  Proceeds support the non-profit's mission of access to music education.  Can't attend? Make a monetary donation today!

Call for Sheet Music Donations

If you have sheet music to donate; we'll accept it during business hours (Tuesday - Friday 1 pm to 6 pm) through July 29. Suggested donation of $20 per box or bag.

Students of Note

At the end of the school year in June we announced our student awardees and graduates.  We are so proud of all our students, making progress in music. Thanks to all who support them!

Fall / School Year Dates Announced

We are happy to begin taking registrations for the Fall Term and School Year 2022-23 from the general public starting Wednesday, September 7 at 12:30 pm. Fall Term begins Monday, October 3.
