Summer Chamber Music for
Strings, Winds, & Piano

Concertante Orchestra

July 9-20, 2012

Andrew Ehrlich - Program Director

Chamber Groups
Play trios, quartets or other works for strings, winds & piano with peers!  CMC’s Chamber music serves the musical development of young musicians by refining ensemble skills & interpretive abilities through instruction with experienced CMC faculty. Players are placed into chamber groups by audition. Each day, ensembles are coached for an hour and then rehearse a second hour with an assistant coach. There is a required concert on Saturday, July 21st presenting the work of the chamber groups.

Concertante Orchestra
Follow your dreams of one day taking the spotlight!  This a chamber orchestra that also gives students who have learned solo pieces a chance to play with live accompaniment. Soloists then become a part of the orchestra playing for their fellow students. Participants are chosen by audition (see over). Students may choose to play in the orchestra without playing a solo.

These two programs together make a great day-camp experience!
