Carnival of the Orchestra  age: 3.5 – 5
What sounds like an elephant, or a swan? Experience a magical world through listening, movement & poses, making & playing instruments, watching live musicians, & more. Capture fundamentals such as breathing & singing, reading notes & rhythms, & identifying instruments by their tone. Show expression, creativity & poise in a performance about favorite animals for family & friends. Children must be 3.5 by start date & potty trained. Bring a water bottle, nutritious peanut-free snack, & a smock or old T-shirt for art activities each day.

Musical Skill Builder age: 6 – 8
Meet new friends while exploring the fundamentals of music! Take an in-depth look at rhythm & note-reading, composers, instruments of the orchestra & more. Sing, move, develop listening skills, & try real instruments like xylophones & drums. Creativity & self-expression will come naturally while composing, improvising & playing with others.
For students who have completed K-2nd grade.

Music Skills Intensive  age: 9 – 12
Composing, improvising, trying new instruments...how cool is that?! Delve deep into topics like note-reading, rhythm, meter, melody & harmony. Figure out what makes music tick while exploring different ways to express yourself. Create friendships & build self-esteem while having some serious fun. Students will have hands on experience playing different string, wind, & percussion instruments. Prerequisite: Skills I or above, an in-school general music class, or 6 months of private lessons. For students who have completed 3rd-5th grade.

Playing the 12-Bar Blues makes you happy! Use simple chords & scales to create original compositions at the keyboard. Listen, improvise, jam with others, & solo in this uniquely American style. Pick up basic music theory & history along the way while gaining confidence in practice & performance. Bring a nutritious, peanut free snack each day. Prerequisite - one year of group lessons or the equivalent (completed Piano Adventures Primer Level).

Just try to catch your breath in this high-energy group for young voices! Develop singing techniques, note reading skills, & accuracy of pitch & rhythm while making lasting friendships. Super Drum! age: 6 – 10
Let's fly around the world exploring rhythms! Feel the beat! Investigate the similarities & differences of percussion patterns from across the globe, like West African, Brazilian, Celtic, Afro-Cuban, North American, & more. Practice the best techniques for hand drums, stick drums & percussion instruments, grasp musical concepts & try a hand at improvisation. Drums provided, but capes totally optional! Bring a nutritious, peanut free snack each day. Weather permitting, children may go to a neighborhood park.  For students who have completed K-3rd grade.
