Ladybug Walksladybug walk video from PP&R
Portland Parks & Recreation invites preschoolers and parents to discover nature in Portland parks with a Ladybug Nature Walk! Explore through parks, gardens and natural areas with your youngster (2-5 years old) and a nature guide. Touch slimy slugs, smell tree bark, feel crinkly and soft leaves, hear musical bird songs and experience the many changes of the seasons. Check out the video at https://www.facebook.com/PortlandParksEnvironmentalEducation

Serving all of Portland

Portland Parks & Recreation is adopting a new approach to understanding better who is and is not being served through the current recreation system. Beginning soon, PP&R will collect race & ethnicity data through a one-time question at the time of registration for a class, lesson, or other activity. This is the first step towards assessing our performance at serving all populations residing in the city.

If you have any questions please contact a PP&R representative or your facility’s Director. Thank you for your understanding as we work to increase our understanding of the communities we serve.
